Innis is the head of our Recoveries Division and has a wealth of experience in the field of debt collection and recoveries.
Innis obtained his B Juris degree in 1993, and prior to practicing law he was employed by ITC Business Administration in the corporate call centre environment. During this time he gained valuable experience in pre-debt collecting procedures. He then headed up the Credit Management Department (Nelson Mandela Metropole) for Boland Bank. His duties as the head of the Credit Management Department included instructing attorneys in the recovery of monies owed by defaulting parties, and inspired him to complete his B Proc degree.
In 1997 Innis graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela University) with a B Proc degree and commenced his articles and practicing law in 1998 with DC Fourie Attorneys, who specialised in corporate debt collection.
Innis' experience and drive to succeed led to him being appointed as partner at Van Rooyen & Efstratiou Attorneys in 2003, where he continued to specialise in debt collection and recoveries as well as civil litigation, deceased estates, and labour law.
Innis joined Joubert Galpin Searle in 2013 and continues to service various financial institutions relating to foreclosures and vehicle asset finance. He also specialises in debt collection and recoveries in the building industry.
Over his career, Innis has developed a thorough understanding of the debt collection and recoveries process.
In his time away from the office, Innis enjoys gardening, going for long walks and cooking.
