Leon matriculated at Framesby High School in Port Elizabeth and went on to graduate from the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) in 1995.
After completing his articles in Port Elizabeth he was employed as a legal advisor with a Trade Union, which inspired an interest in Labour Law and his obtaining a LL.M in this field. Leon practiced as a partner at a law firm in Riversdale before joining Joubert Galpin Searle in June 2003.
Leon specialized in all aspects of employment law and mainly acts for employers
in both the private and public sector. He has extensive experience in
dealing with labour disputes and represents clients at various labour
forums. He also provides training to clients on a regular basis.
Leon and his wife, Ellen, also a practicing attorney, are both very
focused on building their respective careers.
Leon and Ellen, have a baby daughter, Stephaney.
