Ryno was born in Port Elizabeth and after he matriculated from Framesby High School in 1992 and during 1995, he commenced his studies at the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University).
After completion of his studies and during 2000, Ryno commenced with and completed his articles with Friedman Scheckter. After completion of his articles, Ryno was employed as a professional assistant with Friedman Scheckter and during 2003 he was offered partnership in Friedman Scheckter. During his tenure with Friedman Scheckter, Ryno received exposure to and gained vast experience in collections, notarial work and both Magistrates’ and High Court litigation.
Ryno’s preference has always been litigation and his love for litigation followed a natural progression, when, during April 2011, he left the attorney’s profession and was admitted as an Advocate. After successful completion of his pupillage, Ryno further advanced his legal career as a practicing Advocate of the Eastern Cape Society of Advocates until April 2016.
After his readmission as an attorney and notary during July 2016, Ryno joined our firm as a director in our Commercial Division where he specialises in company law, intellectual property law, the formation of entities and business structures, insolvencies, landlord and tenant law and general commercial and notarial work.
Ryno is married to Stephanie and they have two boys, Tristan and Trent. When not spending time with his family and when the demands of his practice allows it, Ryno enjoys rock and surf angling.
