Cindy was born in Cape Town and moved to Port Elizabeth where she completed her B Juris (cum laude) and Baccalaureus Legum (cum laude) at the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela University).
Cindy joined Joubert Galpin Searle as a Director in 2019.
She completed her articles at Rushmere & Noach, and was later appointed as a Professional Assistant. In 2006 she was promoted to Director and Shareholder at the same firm, where she worked until 2010. Thereafter she was Director and Shareholder at Goldberg & de Villiers until 2019.
Cindy specialises in all aspects of Commercial Law as well as: Corporate and Administrative Law Litigation, Contractual / Commercial Arbitrations, Local Government Law, Trust Law, Liquor Law, Environmental Law, Commercial Arbitrations and Director and Trustee training. Cindy's area of expertise is commercial contract drafting and reviewing and she has a specific interest in empowerment transactions and the B-BBEE legal landscape.
Cindy was awarded the Business Woman of the Year Regional Achievers Award in the professional category in 2017.
In her free time Cindy enjoys reading, writing and spending time with family and friends.
